Soccer World Cup

For the first time ever, the sporting event of the year, the Soccer World Cup, will be hosted on the African continent &mdash specifically, in South Africa. The World Cup is the biggest sporting event after the Olympics games and the biggest in term of the television audience. For four weeks South Africa, will be the centre of the world. The World Cup will be staged at 10 venues across nine South African cities: Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Port Elizabeth, Nelspruit, Polokwane, Bloemfontein, Rustenburg and Pretoria. Johannesburg, South Africa's economic capital, will be home to two World Cup stadiums, namely Soccer City and Ellis Park.

We at GreatStaySA have selected some hand-picked quality accommodation venues for you based on a number of criteria, most importantly, that they have convenient access either to the soccer stadiums or that they are on a major route which will provide easy and quick transport to the the stadiums. If you would like your property listed on our site, please contact us. If you would like to visit South Africa for the soccer, please see our accommodation page to select the venue you would like to stay at.
